I have never been much of a user of social media. When I started Local Postal Solutions I joined Facebook to try and promote the business, I even tried paid ads. I have never got a single client thro Facebook and have slowly realised it’s no good or I am no good on there. So these last few weeks I have tried TikTok and I am just learning to create videos through photos and trying to be witty, which never ends well. The idea being to just get our name out there, have some fun and hopefully mix it in with some informative videos about what we do and how we can benefit every single Wirral business and service who use the postal service to connect with their local customers. And eventually who knows I might even try a few lives, which is an essential part of the next plan for later in the year. Anyway to do lives I believe you need 1000 followers so if you want to add localpostalwirral to your friends list please feel free.
My first videos are just jokes that I’ve loosely changed to capture the local area in which we serve Wirral. I put one up last week and was amazed to find out that over 5000 people had viewed it. And then I put another up this morning and tonight it’s on 12k views. I dont even know if that’s any good but I assumed it would be maybe in the hundreds at best. There’s a saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” which isn’t necessarily true it should be “you can teach an old dog new tricks, but only if he can be arsed to learn something new”. Keep an eye out for new content, especially the boring ones where I talk about the stuff I often mention on here. Maybe a verbal translation of what we do is easier for people to understand.
Tomorrow we are out and about early on my favourite cycle route Upton, Moreton, Hoylake, West Kirby or what we call the coast run. Tomorrow will set a new record for us, our deliveries tomorrow will incorporate the most businesses we have mail for in one round. Seven in total, amazing. We already know it won’t be long before that benchmark is beaten. We have quite a few new customers starting in the next few weeks. Whether it’s our growing presence, our reputation, the website, Facebook or maybe even TikTok we are consistently getting new customers week in, week out.
