Starting at 7am I was out on the bike delivering to CH42, CH62 and CH63, it was a beautiful morning to be out and about. I didn’t really notice the school traffic but maybe not everyone is back in school yet. My early delivery last 2 hours before and then I moved on to Upton for a few more hours and then eventually moved on to West Kirby and Hoylake. I finished delivering shortly before 5pm, it was a long time to be out in the heat.
Tomorrow is going to be another hot one and an early bike duty at 7am will set the tone for the day. Birkenhead will be my main focus of attention early on before lightly dusting Prenton then a long delivery in Heswall to finish the day. Heswall has proven to be my nemesis in recent weeks, so a positive mental attitude is needed tomorrow to rectify and banish some long days in the memory.
Fact of the day is about the oldest building in Merseyside apparently.
Birkenhead priory having been discovered in 1150, the monks of this Benedictine monastery looked after travellers for nearly 400 years.
Not just a postman.
