Cheap parcel and mail deliveries can revolutionize business growth by reducing operating costs and improving customer satisfaction. With cheaper shipping options, businesses can lower their expenses and offer more competitive pricing to attract more customers. This can lead to increased sales and revenue. Additionally, faster and more reliable deliveries can enhance customer experience, leading to repeat business and positive word-of-mouth recommendations. By optimizing their delivery processes and utilizing affordable shipping services, businesses can gain a competitive edge, expand their customer base, and ultimately drive business growth.
When it comes to transportation and route planning, there is often a conflict between a logistical mind and optimized routes. A logistical mind tends to focus on factors such as cost, delivery time, and resource allocation. They may opt for the most direct and efficient route, even if it means sacrificing fuel efficiency or environmental considerations. On the other hand, optimized routes take into account a broader range of variables such as traffic patterns, road conditions, and even customer preferences. Ultimately, striking a balance between the two approaches can lead to the most effective and efficient transportation operations.
I have used many different apps for optimising routes and from my experience, they all have a lack of common sense. They tend to stay on main roads for as long as possible, which is great when it’s 3am in the morning and no one’s on the road. But when your stuck in a queue waiting for the lights to change for the third time so you can get through. Logistically your just throwing money away. The more people that use sat nav or an app the more the side streets have become a quicker route from A to B. The deliveries we make by bike has been a revelation in finding quicker routes. You just see so much more on a bike and when a hunch or a gut feeling about a short cut comes off it’s a great feeling every time you take that new time saving route.
Not just a postman.
