Hes “hit the” wall

Every time I deliver to Heswall I hit the wall, not an actual wall but a physical wall of pain. Everywhere seems to be uphill and my deliveries seem to be far spread in Heswall, plus the ride out is by far the hardest to get too out of all my routes. I need either my physical fitness to hit another level or a large whacker plate to make it more flat. However, some of the vistas in Heswall are truly jaw dropping and it’s a beautiful place to cycle round.

Delivering to the entire Wirral does have its benefits, you get to see how truly lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. Plus my routes are that changeable that I see new places every day, new streets I have never delivered to before and new customers who are always intrigued by a man on a bike delivering post. It always starts a conversation. Tomorrow it’s Wallasey and we are breaking records tomorrow for the most items delivered in a day in another net zero delivery for Local Postal Solutions. It’s great being on an upward curve and we will continue to set our sights even higher. No traffic issues to report in Heswall today.

Facts about Wirral time. Two approximately parallel sandstone ridges run down the length of the peninsula. The western ridge is made up of Grange and Caldy Hills at 256 feet in height then Thurstaston Hill at 298 feet, Poll Hill in Heswall at 350 feet is the highest point in Wirral and Burton 222 feet. The less continuous Eastern ridge consists of Bidston Hill 231 feet Prenton 259 feet and Storeton Hill 229 feet. The shallow Fender valley runs between these ridges. Well at least that explains why Heswall is so much more difficult to deliver too.

Not just a postman.
