I normally blog before I go to sleep, but I am going to try an early blog today due to a long evening delivery and there basically being not enough hours in the day. So here goes, it's been a steady morning with phone calls, enquiries and a small window of delivery to try and take the onus of my evenings scheduled delivery. And before the day is done I will need a haircut (more about that shortly) a shower, some food and some quiet time.
So the haircut, I am quite fortunate that my hair refuses to leave my scalp, it's like a tenant not paying rent but refusing to leave the property. I joke of course, my hair went grey from the age of 21 hence one of my nicknames being snowy (only to old vauxhall colleagues) I suppose you cant have it all ways, I am thankful for the tenacity of my hair. Finally, the reason why I need my haircut. Tomorrow is a first for me, due to our concept and our more efficient service and the savings we can bring to all our local businesses. I have been asked to do a photo shoot, wahoo get me. I will be in full uniform and I'm prepared to go down to shorts and polo shirt. If I am asked to go any further I am going to have to refuse as my body would be what I would describe as "a fuel tank for a delivery machine" rather than a healthy toned model. I honestly don't know what to expect, I might have to practice my surprised and shocked face. Although that will come naturally when I get the bill.
On to Wirral facts and history. I try to keep these facts "news to me" as in although they exist I have only just recently found out about them. Todays fact is about the battle of Brunanburh, never heard of it? neither had I till today. But the name might sound familiar that's because the battle happened in Bromborough and Bebington in 937AD. It was a battle between the king of England and an alliance of Celtic monarchs and is famed for being the world's bloodiest battle narrowly beating the Birkenhead Christmas taxi queue melee in 1995.
Not just a postman.
