To say the day has been manic is an understatement, I was under the cosh from the start. Bike delivery from 7am till 9am with tired legs after yesterdays epic journey. I had a list of things not to forget to do to prepare myself for tomorrow. Trivial things like haircut, car wash, picking up items from printers and dropping things off for clients. I am unable to tell you what we are preparing for but hopefully you will find out in the next month or so. The delivery aspect of the day was extremely normal, I suppose it always feels that way to me as it’s my bread and butter, it’s what we do. We have had 1 parcel in the last month that hasn’t arrived within the same day as collection. That was due to an incident on Hoylake Road on Wednesday which had me stuck in traffic and having to re-route. These things can’t be helped and pop up from time to time.
Its Black Friday tomorrow so we are expecting deliveries to be high. We have as always pre planned and have an earlier parcel pick up to allow for extra time for delivery. I have also put a limit on my chin wagging with customers and clients to 5 minutes to allow for more productivity 😂. Problem I have got is that all my clients are all amazing interesting people, so chatting is just a natural thing.
Exciting Friday awaits with an early start to do bike maintenance another job I am having to learn about and factor in to my working week. New leaflet is hot off the press, giving me something to leave with potential clients rather than relying on the hard sell, which is handy as the hard sell is something I am desperately bad at. Fortunately what I offer is that much better and cost effective and greener and locally based and trustworthy than what people are currently receiving, it sells itself.
