Apologies for my lack of blogging, a combination of work and fatigue has left me with very little creative ambition. We have had a stellar month, and everything is falling into place very nicely. I can report that this week we started delivering for our first school. With schools getting further reductions and current service levels by mail providers proving to be………..erm hard to word it, but I would say disrespectful to people and business and services who pay good money to have their mail delivered within a certain time frame. I have broached this subject many times, but “first class” hasn’t existed for many years. Yet they still try to get extra money out of the consumer for a service that disappeared when we went into COVID lockdown.
I don’t think we are being over ambitious when we say that more schools will follow, it’s a no brainer a far superior service with a 33% reduction in price. I would actually be disappointed if we didn’t get every school that sent mail out. We don’t want this to stop with schools, charities also get the special reduction. Our ultimate dream and the reason why we set up Local Postal Solutions is to deliver mail for the NHS. We know there are more barriers to overcome with this work as it comes from a central source which makes it difficult to segregate the mail away from the areas we can’t cover. We believe we have the solutions but we can’t get past the front door at the moment.
As well as new school customers we have also added 2 care companies to our customer base. Our mail volumes are growing every week, and yet we are still 100% successful with our “first class” deliveries.
Projections for this current week already have us as our best week outside of the Christmas rush since we began. Which is just as well as the car has to go in for an MOT on Friday, and the only option is to take it to the North Wests premier MOT centre Walsh Autos. The best place by far to take your car for an MOT, no booking required, just turn up and wait in the reception with a coffee. MOT done while you wait, perfect. Well if they say pass, it’s perfect.
