At Local Postal Solutions we are taking you back to a time when mail was efficient, affordable and safer by the non implementation of technology.

But we also look to the future as in the next few months we will become the only UK mail and parcel delivery firm that will be “Net Zero”.

Sometimes we have to take a step back to move two steps forward. As someone who has worked in the mail industry for over 20 years, without doubt the one thing that has slowed mail delivery down and driven up the price is technology. For me personally my biggest worry is the use of technology and the harvesting of data by many large companies. Supermarket reward cards is the perfect example you give up your personal data so that they can target your personal spending habits. Data is big business, and data breach’s only occurs when companies input your data and hold that data.

As a company we have prioritised your personal data by not using technology. By not using technology your data can never be breached. It’s not just your data, it’s also the data of every item of post you send out. We sort everything manually with absolutely no technology used in our sortation. No cameras scanning mail, no data input devices, no digital signatures. If there is one piece of advice I could offer you it’s this. If your asked to sign something digitally DO NOT input your actual signature. Personally I always draw an outline of Micky Mouse.

How dangerous is a digital copy of your signature in todays world?

At Local Postal Solutions we are technology free, well apart from Google maps when we can’t find an address, and using a calculator to work out how many pounds you have saved by switching your Wirral post to us. This is the only way we can fully protect yours and your clients data from being accessed, stolen or breached.

As for the future, well the mail service in Denmark will cease to operate in 2025 after over 400 years of operating. In the UK from the highest point the delivery of mail has fallen by 67%. These are scary stats that would deter any normal enterprise from entering the market. Fortunately for the Wirral we are far from normal.

Is it normal for a local business to charge over 25% less than a national corporate monopoly?………..no.

Is it normal that a local business that’s soon to be “net zero” can deliver more efficiently, affordably and more sustainably?……..no.

Is it normal that over 60% of our priority mail is delivered within 5 hours of collection when other companies struggle to even get it to its destination the next day?…….no.

Nothing we do is normal, because normal in current mail delivery standards is simply nowhere near good enough.
