I’ve just sat staring at the word August and thought what an unusual word to appear in the English language. But August always stirs fond memories of childhood days, caravan holidays, butlins holidays and just playing football anywhere till all hours. It’s easy to be fond of August when your a child as it’s the only entire month you never attend school. Added to that the start of the football season and apparently it’s the nicest month for weather. I really can’t remember the last August weve had were the weather was anything above average.
Today was a nice start to August, I had the morning off to landscape the garden and it’s starting to take shape. Although if it’s finished by the end of August I will be amazed. I then started some afternoon deliveries till 4pm then had a fabulous roast dinner before a meeting at 6pm over in New Brighton with a few deliveries either side. The meeting was all about marketing and promoting the company and it was a very positive experience and also very insightful. It’s also probably bulked out my workload for tomorrow. Sometimes planning the week ahead is a pointless exercise, their is always something that comes along that changes the order of things.
Not just a postman.
